Marc is a partner in tax consulting at JMp with exceptional expertise as a taxation and business advisor in three different jurisdictions. A problem solver of complex business issues, Marc has an unrivalled knowledge of domestic, international and corporate tax.

 

Marc’s been in the tax industry for more than 28 years, which makes him highly experienced in all facets of business management and a trusted advisor to create the most effective and appropriate solutions for our clients.

In particular, he is skilled in financial valuation, transaction negotiation, merger and acquisition representation and corporate financial analysis. He also provides business valuations for succession planning, employee share option plans, purchase and sale advisement, purchase price allocation, marital dissolution and other tax and business-related matters.

Marc recently developed and implemented the firm’s successful ‘Virtual CFO’ role, providing ongoing guidance, advice and corporate governance to directors, managers and business owners.

For each client, he applies long-term thinking. He does this by identifying future possibilities and outlining how they can make informed decisions to achieve the desired end result. This dedicated and hands-on approach instils trust and loyalty, and he is devoted to creating strong relationships not just with clients, but also with his associates and colleagues.

While his commercial acumen is second to none, Marc is also passionate about credibility and laying the foundation for a solid future by acting with integrity and creating credibility through his work.

Experience

  • Assisting private companies and family businesses with family office services, governance, structuring, taxation, estate planning, superannuation and succession planning.

  • Facilitating inbound structures and international business expansion. This work includes acting as the external CFO to businesses operating in Australia, providing outsourced back-office solutions and tax compliance.

  • Providing business strategy, accounting, cashflow, taxation and structuring services for all stages of the business cycle, from startup through to divestment

  • Providing business and taxation advice for medium sized business entities, including companies, trusts and sole traders along with financial reporting, due diligence and independent valuations.

  • Developing asset protection strategies for owners

  • Designing tax effective structures

  • Exit planning within the business structure

  • Assessing and minimising stamp duty implications of transactions

  • Reviewing existing structures for efficiency and flexibility

  • Providing technical advice on complex income tax, GST and CGT concessions in the event of restructure.
